At Harris Potteries, I was tasked with helping the company create new tableware designs to pitch to Pampered Chef. Harris Potteries is known for its high-quality, high-strength ceramic body, which can survive thermal shock (extreme temperature change) with greater reliability than standard ceramic. Having only produced baking-oriented pieces in the past, we explored expanding this material excellence into everyday-use tableware objects like plates and serving trays that allowed for a greater versatility in the kitchen. The concepts that Pampered Chef selected to move forward with have remained a beloved addition to kitchens across the country to this day.
